Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes emergency medicine physician Bronia Agress to its medical staff.
Dr. Agress joins the team at the Emergency Department at Penn Highlands Huntingdon, located at 1225 Warm Springs Avenue in Huntingdon.
From stroke and heart attack to injuries following a traumatic accident, Dr. Agress provides expert care to patients experiencing life-threatening circumstances. The Emergency Departments at Penn Highlands offer 24/7 care and immediate access to specialty care for heart, stroke, brain injuries, neonatal intensive care, trauma and severe abdominal pain. Common treatments and procedures include broken bones, chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, severe abdominal pain, severe allergic reaction, slurred speech, stroke, uncontrolled bleeding and weakness on one side.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Agress was a Medical Command Physician for the Philadelphia Fire Department.
Dr. Agress graduated from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, N.Y. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia. She is a member of the Jewish Orthodox Women’s Medical Association.
