Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

New Image

When a complication occurs during childbirth or a newborn needs immediate, specialized care, the Penn Highlands DuBois NICU is prepared. For more than 30 years, we have delivered advanced neonatal care to premature and critically ill newborns. The board certified neonatologists and neonatal nurses respond to emergencies at delivery, and travel by ambulance or helicopter to transport tiny, critically ill babies to DuBois from outlying hospitals.

Parents are welcome to be with their newborn in the NICU, and the nurses are always available to help them understand and involve them in their baby’s care.

Anyone who is expecting and would like to tour the unit, call (814) 375-NICU (6428)
