Give Today

Dear Friends,

We hope 2018 has been a year of great health for you and your loved ones. If it was anything less, we hope you found that Penn Highlands Healthcare was here for you, providing care in every way.

As much as ever, your wellness is our highest priority. That’s why, earlier this year, we announced our plan for a major expansion and significant updates coming to all of our hospital campuses, as well as initiatives to increase our footprint and the quality of patient care throughout this region.

Our area is home to a very unique set of patient needs: services to support our aging seniors, life-saving screenings for cardiac and lung diseases, which are higher here than the national average, treatments in response to the growing opioid crisis, leading-edge advancements in mammography to see women – the hearts of our families – through every stage of their lives, and the best emergency care and cardiac intervention to save your loved one’s life when response times are most critical. For every medical need, you and the people you care about deserve the best.

The health and wellness needs of you—our families, friends and neighbors—prompted what we’re building next. At Penn Highlands, we’re here for you, but we can’t grow without you. To keep exceptional healthcare close to home and strengthen our communities for the future, the investment we all make matters. So that we may serve you in 2019 and for many years to come, please consider supporting our Annual Giving Campaign. Your gift can go directly where you wish. Thank you for helping Penn Highlands remain here for you and those you love the most.

We wish you many blessings in the New Year,

From all of us at Penn Highlands Healthcare

Make a difference...

We invite you to join us in our mission of providing the best care possible to our patients. Every gift makes a difference and we are so appreciative of each and every one.

You can designate your donation to this year’s Annual Giving Campaign to one or more of the following projects on the enclosed envelope or on our website where you will find a complete listing of all giving opportunities.

Penn Highlands Brookville

Patient Room Furniture
Your generosity will help us replace existing furniture in our patient rooms, improving the atmosphere for our patients, family members and visitors.  At Penn Highlands Brookville, we continue to focus on quality care as well as the comfort of our patients.

Penn Highlands Clearfield

Emergency Room Stretchers
We are committed to making major renovations to our busy Emergency Department in Clearfield which provided treatment for 17,800 patient visits last year.  Your donations will help us add additional stretchers to transport patients quickly and efficiently.

Penn Highlands DuBois

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Infant OmniBeds
Your gift will help us provide optimal care for our smallest of patients as we purchase new Giraffee Omnibed Carestations.  Last year, over 300 premature, low birth weight babies were cared for in our unit, the only one of its kind within a 100-mile radius.

Penn Highlands Elk

Wheelchairs for Transporting Patients
Your support will assist us with adding new wheelchairs for transporting patients.  At a cost of over $2,000 each, these chairs are an alternative to traditional wheelchairs and are designed with the comfort and safety of our patients in mind.

Did you know...

  • Chest pains and agricultural accidents have accounted for the greatest volume of visits to the Penn Highlands Emergency Departments.
  • Our Lung Center performed 1,800 bronchoscopies last year to help diagnose lung conditions and we plan to expand this service throughout the Penn Highlands Healthcare system in 2019.
  • By June, the number of babies being treated for drug withdrawal in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit had already surpassed the number of those who were treated in all of 2017.
  • Our Behavioral Health Services admitted an average of 110 adult patients, 42 geropsych patients and 20 child/adolescent patients per month, but turned away 500 patient referrals per month due in large part to lack of space.

Thank you

We thank you for your continued friendship and your generosity.  Your gift, no matter the amount, is very much appreciated.  Please join our caregivers and experience the joy of giving at Penn Highlands Healthcare.
