Lin Chen, MD, PhD
Lin Chen, MD, PhD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist at Penn Highlands Eye Center in Huntingdon. Dr. Chen is an experienced, compassionate ophthalmologist and cataract and eyelid surgeon. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Chen offers highly specialized diagnosis and treatment of all eye diseases. Common treatments and procedures include cataract surgery, eyelid surgery, botox injection, diabetic eye exams, comprehensive eye exams, glaucoma management, macular degeneration exams and dry eye treatment. Problems with eyesight can be intimidating, but Dr. Chen is here with expert care that’s close to home.
Dr. Chen graduated with an MD from Shanghai Medical University, Shanghai, China, and a Ph. D from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN.
Dr. Chen completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University of California, Davis, in Sacramento, Calif., and an ophthalmology observership concentrated in oculoplastic surgery at Moorefields Eye Hospital in London, UK, the first eye hospital in the world.
Dr. Chen, once a recipient of an NIH grant, had conducted research in both basic science and clinical medicine published multiple papers.
