Amy Trinh, DO

Amy Trinh, DO, is a third-year Family Medicine Resident physician. Her medical interests include Pediatrics, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine, and Preventative Health Education. She is a Michigan native who completed her undergraduate studies in Physiology and Music at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. She subsequently matriculated to Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine where she served as a clinical teaching assistant as well as taught suturing clinics. Outside of class, she devoted time toward community service, outreach, and clinical research. Her love for medicine is fueled by her desire to help others achieve good health so they can have the ability to live the life that they desire. A a result, Family Medicine became her calling.

After years in Michigan, she decided to explore a more rural, underserved community out-of-state and she found the Penn Highlands Family Medicine Residency program. Her time here continues to be enhanced on a daily basis by her patients, her clinical teachers, as well as her co-residents whom have become family. She continues to maintain her medical interests in the workplace while continuing to participate in clinical research projects as well as leading suturing clinics for the residents, medical students and pre-medical students.

Outside of working as a resident, Dr. Trinh enjoys classical music, art, barista-worthy coffee, farmer’s markets, and cooking.
