Introduction to Health Careers - February
Penn Highlands DuBois is offering a course designed for high school juniors and seniors to introduce different professions in a health care environment allowing the students the opportunity to engage directly with them.
The professionals will share their thoughts with the students about pros, cons and different aspects of their profession, and when possible, give a tour of the department providing the student with an interactive experience demonstrating the equipment utilized within the specialized department.
Parent and student must attend sign up night on Wednesday, January 25, at 6:00 PM.
The course is open to juniors and seniors at DuBois Area High School, DuBois Central Catholic and Brockway High School.
There is NO COST for this course. Limited to 20 students per track.
Students will meet in the CRC Building Assembly Room at 5:00 PM (unless noted). The

- Pre-Hospital Careers (EMS & Dusan)
- Laboratory
February 8: Week 2 Departments
Meet in the Lobby of the Hospital at 4:30 PM
- OB
- NICU
- Respiratory Therapy
February 15: Week 3 Departments
- X-ray
- Physical Therapy/Speech Therapy/Occupational. Therapy
- Ultrasound
February 22: Week 4 Departments
- Psychiatric/Mental Health
- Nursing - Med Surg
