PH DuBois April Employee of the Month

Pam Davis, associate in Nutrition Services, has been named Employee of the Month at Penn Highlands DuBois for the month of April.

Pam is a cashier in the cafeteria at PH DuBois West where she is responsible for also stocking supplies, keeping the area clean and customer service.

An employee of PH DuBois since September 2001, she has also worked in the kitchen and as a care representative delivering trays to patient rooms, taking menu request and other tasks.

“Pam greets each customer with a warm smile,” Kendra Crabtree, director of Food and Nutrition Services, said. “Pam shows genuine interest in everyone and gets to know patients’ families while they visit the cafeteria. Pam received a letter from a patient’s family stating what a positive impact she made on their visit. She is a shining example of how everyone, regardless of their position in the hospital, can make a positive influence on each patient’s experience.”

“I love the people and the interaction with the patients’ families and with my coworkers,” Pam said.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pam has lived Tennessee and Georgia before her family moved to DuBois at age 12. She has one daughter, Stevie, and three grandchildren, Nevaeh, 9; Karleigh, 8; and Parker, 7, all of DuBois.

Pam likes to decorate and garden often bringing flowers to the cafeteria. “Spending time with my family and friends is everything to me,” she said.
