19th Annual Lois Orange Ducoeur Breast Cancer Walk
The Penn Highlands Mon Valley Lois Orange Ducoeur Breast Cancer Walk, a favorite event in the Mon Valley, will host the annual walk on Saturday, October 8, at the Center for Fitness and Health in the Penn Highlands Mon Valley HealthPlex in Belle Vernon.
The one-mile fun walk supports the prevention, early detection, and treatment of breast cancer in our community at Penn Highlands Mon Valley.
This year’s proceeds will benefit the Regional Cancer Center at Penn Highlands Mon Valley, with the purchase of a clip marker system, for mammography biopsies. This system will improve the quality and accuracy of diagnostics and therapy for patients. Proceeds will also help to purchase an interface upgrade, to our vital sign machines. The upgrade will automatically add the patient’s vital signs to their electronic health record; thus providing the healthcare professional more face-to-face time with the patient.
