Ostomy Support Group
Ostomy Support Group
The Ostomy Support Group meets to share experiences, provide support to one another and learn about the most updated products and ostomy information. The meetings are informal round-table discussions on topics of interest, new product demonstrations, occasional guest speakers and a question and answer session with the enterostomal therapy nurse or wound, ostomy and continence nurse.
Any patient with any type of ostomy, whether it be permanent or temporary is welcome to attend. There are three main types of ostomies: colostomy, ileostomy and urostomy. Patients with all three types of ostomies have attended meetings on a regular basis. Many patients bring family members or friends with them. Friends and family are always welcome to attend.
Meeting are held from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM on the first Tuesday of each April, May, June, September, October and November in the:
Central Resource Center
204 Hospital Avenue
DuBois, PA 15801
