Penn Highlands Community Pharmacy-St. Marys And Penn Highlands Eye Center To Host Ribbon Cutting

Penn Highlands Healthcare is hosting a ribbon-cutting event on Monday, June 22, 2026, to celebrate the opening of its retail pharmacy and ophthalmology and optometry services on the campus of Penn Highlands Elk.

The event will take place from 10:00 AM -11:00 AM outside Penn Highlands Community Pharmacy and Eye Center, located at 765 Johnsonburg Road in St. Marys.

The ceremony marks a strategic expansion to provide a broader, more convenient range of care in a single location. As part of this initiative, Penn Highlands Community Pharmacy – St. Marys relocated from Railroad Street to the Penn Highlands Elk campus. Penn Highlands Eye Center remains at the same location.

“The new center will provide the community with access to medications and convenient options to fill your prescriptions,” said Michelle Bennett, Pharm D, BCPS, System Director, Retail Pharmacy. “Though we love to have you stop in and visit us, the drive-thru allows for a quick pick-up on your busiest days.”

Julie Peer, President of Penn Highlands Elk, will serve as a keynote speaker for the ribbon cutting. She will be joined by Penn Highlands Healthcare leadership, community leaders and members of the St. Marys Area Chamber of Commerce.

Community members are encouraged to attend. The event will include refreshments and giveaways for attendees.
