Penn Highlands Healthcare Achieves New Awards and Accreditations
Penn Highlands Healthcare and two of its hospitals recently received prestigious awards and accreditations.
For the fifth consecutive year, Penn Highlands Healthcare received recognition as one of Pennsylvania Business Central's Top 100 Organizations. The health system joins others on this prestigious list of organizations that have made significant contributions to Central Pennsylvania's economy, social progress and philanthropy. The organizations on the list were selected by Pennsylvania Business Central's subscribers.
Penn Highlands Brookville received two awards – the 2025 Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania Donate Life Pennsylvania Hospital Challenge Platinum Designation which is a high-level award that recognizing hospitals for outstanding proactive efforts to promote organ, eye and tissue donation. In addition, the hospital received the 2025 Crothall Healthcare Fiscal Year Quarter 1 HCAPHPS Challenge Award. This quarterly recognition program is for Environmental Services teams that achieve top performance in patient satisfaction scores. It highlights teams that excel in maintaining clean, safe environments.

Penn Highlands Mon Valley was designated One of America's 250 Best Hospitals for Overall Clinical Excellence by Healthgrades for 2026. This award recognizes the top 1% to 5% of U.S. hospitals that demonstrate superior, consistent clinical outcomes across 31 common procedures and conditions. On average, patients at these hospitals have a 32.8% lower risk of dying and fewer complications.
