Welcome Amy Gardner, PA-C

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes certified physician assistant Amy Gardner, to its medical staff.

Amy joins the team at Penn Highlands Family Medicine, located at 417 Sabbath Rest Road, Suite 3 in Altoona.

With more than a decade of experience, Amy provides compassionate, comprehensive care focused on prevention, wellness and managing acute and chronic conditions. Her background in acute trauma care brings valuable experience and a patient-centered approach to family medicine.

Common treatments and procedures include annual/sports physicals, asthma care, diabetes care, hypertension/high blood pressure care, immunizations, preventive care and screenings, and primary care.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Amy practiced at UPMC Altoona – Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Services in Altoona and Nevada Surgical Associates in Reno, NV.

Amy earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA and her Bachelor of Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, VA.
