Welcome Matthew J. Hofeldt, MD, FACS

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified general surgeon Matthew J. Hofeldt, MD, FACS, to its medical staff.

Dr. Hofeldt joins the teams at Penn Highlands General Surgery, located at 401 East Murphy Avenue, Specialty Care Clinic, in Connellsville; and 800 Plaza Drive, Suite 140, in Rostraver Township.

He provides comprehensive surgical care for a wide range of conditions. With expertise in both minimally invasive and traditional surgical techniques, Dr. Hofeldt is committed to delivering personalized, high-quality care tailored to each patient’s needs. He works closely with patients from diagnosis through recovery, emphasizing compassionate care, patient education and the best possible outcomes.

Dr. Hofeldt is a graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine, in Morgantown, WV. He completed his residency in general surgery at West Virginia University Charleston Division/Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston, WV.

He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
