Penn Highlands Healthcare offers 750+ physicians who provide a wide range of care and treatments at our nine hospitals and locations throughout 26 counties in Pennsylvania that include community medical buildings, outpatient facilities, surgery centers and physician practices. We are pleased to welcome the following physicians who recently joined our medical staff.
Giath Osman, MD, FACS, FRCSI, CABS
State College, Tyrone
Board-certified gastroenterologist, Giath Osman, MD, FACS, FRCSI, CABS, joins the teams at Penn Highlands Gastroenterology, located at 239 Colonnade Boulevard, Second Floor, in State College; and 221 Hospital Drive, Suite 3, in Tyrone.
Dr. Osman has more than two decades of experience. In addition to being board-certified, Dr. Osman is a fellowship-trained specialist in gastroenterology and advanced laparoscopic, bariatric surgery and advanced endoscopy. He is also certified in the da Vinci Surgical System.
Dr. Osman is a graduate of Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, in Dublin, Ireland. He completed both his internship and residency in general surgery at Oregon Health & Science University, in Portland, OR. He also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology, and general surgery at Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland, in Dublin, Ireland; and a fellowship in advanced laparoscopic, bariatric surgery and advanced endoscopy at Inova Fairfax Hospital, Inova Health System, in Fairfax, VA.
He is board certified by the American Board of Vascular Surgery, and the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Osman is a fellow of the International College of Surgeons; the Royal College of Surgeons of Ireland; and the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons; the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons; the Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons; and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
David G. Stainbrook Jr., DO, FACR, FACOI
DuBois
Board-certified rheumatologist, David G. Stainbrook Jr., DO, FACR, FACOI, joins the team at Penn Highlands Rheumatology/Infusion Center, located at 621 South Main Street in DuBois.
Dr. Stainbrook is a board-certified rheumatologist with more than three decades of experience. He is a fellowship-trained specialist providing expert care for musculoskeletal conditions as well as autoimmune and inflammatory conditions in people of all ages.
Dr. Stainbrook is a graduate of Ohio University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Athens, OH. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, OH; and his fellowship in rheumatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI.
He is a fellow of the American College of Internal Medicine, and the American College of Rheumatology., and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
