Welcome New Physicians - August 2023

Penn Highlands Healthcare offers 827 physicians who provide a wide range of care and treatments at our eight hospitals and locations throughout 26 counties in Pennsylvania that include community medical buildings, outpatient facilities, surgery centers and physician practices. We are pleased to welcome the following physicians who recently joined our medical staff.

Harry Dinsmore, MD
Huntingdon, Tyrone

Board-certified orthopedic surgeon Harry H. Dinsmore, MD, joins the teams at Penn Highlands Orthopedics and Sports Medicine at 1227 Warm Springs Avenue, Suite 201, in Huntingdon and 154 Hospital Drive, Suite 3, in Tyrone.

Dr. Dinsmore is a fellowship-trained physician specializing in sports medicine and hand surgery with more than 20 years of experience.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Dinsmore practiced at the Geisinger Health System Musculoskeletal Institute in Lewistown.

Dr. Dinsmore graduated from Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, W.Va. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va., and his fellowship in orthopedic hand surgery and sports medicine at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.

Mamoon A. Rasheed, MD
Connellsville, Mt. Pleasant, Uniontown

Board-certified internal medicine physician Mamoon A. Rasheed, MD, joins the teams at Penn Highlands Internal Medicine at 600 North Penn Street in Connellsville, 14 Morewood Street in Mt. Pleasant and 234 West Main Street in Uniontown.

​Dr. Rasheed has more than three decades of experience. He is a diplomate in sleep medicine of The American Board of Internal Medicine, an honor that recognizes leaders in their specialty areas, and he is certified in adult echocardiography by The National Board of Echocardiography.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Rasheed practiced at Habiba Health Services in Connellsville, Mt. Pleasant and Uniontown and at Ebensburg Center in Ebensburg.

Dr. Rasheed graduated from I P Pavlov Higher Medical Institute in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. He completed his residency in internal medicine at UPMC McKeesport in McKeesport, Pa. and his internship in radiology in Bonn, Germany.
