Penn Highlands Healthcare offers 750+ physicians who provide a wide range of care and treatments at our nine hospitals and locations throughout 26 counties in Pennsylvania that include community medical buildings, outpatient facilities, surgery centers and physician practices. We are pleased to welcome the following physicians who recently joined our medical staff.

Christina DiMaria, DO, CNSC, RD
Rostraver Township

Double board-certified gastroenterologist, Christina DiMaria, DO, CNSC, RD, joins the team at Penn Highlands Gastroenterology, located in the Mon Valley HealthPlex at 800 Plaza Drive, Suite 140, in Rostraver Township.

Dr. DiMaria provides comprehensive general GI, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and nutritional care with expertise in multidisciplinary management. She is committed to delivering personalized treatment plans focused on improving digestive health and overall patient wellness.

Dr. DiMaria earned her medical degree at Rowan University SOM, in Stratford, NJ and completed her residency in internal medicine at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. She also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the Certified Nutrition Support Clinician.

Donald Faith, MD

Connellsville, Rostraver Township

Board-certified family medicine specialist, Donald Faith, MD, joins the team at Penn Highlands Family Medicine, located in the Mon Valley HealthPlex at 800 Plaza Drive, Suite 290, in Rostraver Township.

Dr. Faith is also the medical director of the Penn Highlands QCare Walk-in Care clinics in the Southwest Region. He brings 30 years of experience in family medicine to patients in the area.

Dr. Faith earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, in Pittsburgh. He completed his residency training at The Washington Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program, UPMC, in Washington, PA.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors and a board-certified Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine.

Andrew J. Gambone, MD, FAAOS
State College

Board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Andrew J. Gambone, MD, FAAOS, joins the team at Penn Highlands Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, located at 239 Colonnade Boulevard, Floor 2, in State College.

Dr. Gambone specializes in adult and pediatric orthopedics and adult and pediatric sports medicine. He also has significant experience in fracture care, including the evaluation and management of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries.

Dr. Gambone graduated and earned a Master of Medical Science from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI. Dr. Gambone completed fellowship training in sports medicine at Penn State University and pediatric orthopaedics at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (FAAOS), board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the American Medical Association.

Carolyn Moore, MD
Monongahela

Board-certified thoracic surgeon Carolyn Moore, MD, joins the team at Penn Highlands Lung Center, located at 1163 Country Club Road, Specialty Care Clinic, Floor 4, in Monongahela. Dr. Moore will continue to see patients at Penn Highlands Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, located at 145 Hospital Avenue, Suite 300, in DuBois.

She provides patients with highly skilled surgical care for even the most complex cases. Dr. Moore is a fellowship-trained surgeon, having achieved the top level of education and specialization in thoracic surgery. She was named to the prestigious position of chief resident during her residency at Morehouse School of Medicine, and she was a Harvard Clinical Fellow in thoracic surgery.

Dr. Moore is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh. She completed her internship and residency in general surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA.

She completed a fellowship in general thoracic surgery and foregut at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA, and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at Kansas University Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. She is a member of the Women in Thoracic Surgery and Society of Socially Responsible Surgeons.

Lisa Oliva, DO
Connellsville

Double board-certified gastroenterologist, Lisa Oliva, DO, joins the team at Penn Highlands Gastroenterology, located at 401 E. Murphy Avenue, Suite 4, in Connellsville.

She provides comprehensive general GI, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and nutrition care with expertise in multidisciplinary management. Dr. Oliva earned her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia.

She completed an internship in Osteopathic at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital Temple University Clinical Campus, in Pittsburgh. Dr. Oliva completed her residency in internal medicine, her residency in obstetrics and gynecology, and a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital Temple University Clinical Campus, in Pittsburgh.

Dr. Oliva is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in gastroenterology, the American Board of Internal Medicine, and the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Pennsylvania Medical Society, and the Allegheny County Medical Society.

Nicholas A. Rawson, DO
DuBois

Trauma and emergency surgeon, Nicholas A. Rawson, DO, joins the team at Penn Highlands Trauma Services, located at 145 Hospital Avenue, Suite 215, in DuBois.

Dr. Rawson provides expert care to patients experiencing serious injuries. He collaborates closely with the multidisciplinary teams at Penn Highlands to stabilize patients, perform emergency procedures, and guide individuals through the critical early stages of recovery following traumatic events.

Dr. Rawson graduated from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV. He completed his general surgery residency at Carle Health/Carle Illinois College of Medicine in Urbana, IL.

He is a member of the American College of Surgeons.

Evan Reinhart, DO
DuBois

Evan Reinhart, DO, joins the team at Penn Highlands Gastroenterology, located in the DuBois Community Medical Building, located at 621 South Main Street, Ground Floor, in DuBois.

Dr. Reinhart specializes in gastroenterology and internal medicine, focusing on digestive health and comprehensive medical care. He provides expert diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, from routine digestive concerns to complex disorders affecting the stomach, intestines, liver, and related organs. His dual specialty training allows him to offer both specialized gastroenterology services and broad internal medicine care to adult patients. Dr. Reinhart earned his medical degree from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Glendale, AZ. He completed his residency in internal medicine from Texas A&M, Baylor -Scott and White Memorial Hospital, in Temple, TX. Dr. Reinhart completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Allegheny General Hospital, in Pittsburgh.

He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

Amy Whitsel, MD, FACOG
DuBois

Board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, Amy Whitsel, MD, FACOG, joins the team at Penn Highlands Perinatal Consultants, located at 123 Hospital Avenue, in DuBois.

As a maternal-fetal medicine fellow, Dr. Whitsel provides highly experienced, perinatal care to expectant mothers and fetuses experiencing complications. Perinatology, also known as maternal-fetal medicine, is a subspecialty of obstetrics that focuses on the care of the fetus and the management of complicated, high-risk pregnancies

. Dr. Whitsel earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University Medical School, in Nashville, TN. She completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology from University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, in Philadelphia.

She is board-certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology in maternal-fetal medicine, a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Whitsel is a member of the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
