Penn Highlands Healthcare offers 827 physicians who provide a wide range of care and treatments at our eight hospitals and locations throughout 26 counties in Pennsylvania that include community medical buildings, outpatient facilities, surgery centers and physician practices. We are pleased to welcome the following physicians who recently joined our medical staff.

Indraneel Banerjee, MD
DuBois

Urologist Indraneel Banerjee, MD, joins the team at Penn Highlands Urology at 145 Hospital Avenue, Suite 200, in DuBois.

With more than a decade of experience, Dr. Banerjee provides patients with comprehensive care using state-of-the-art technology, including minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery. He is a fellowship-trained urologist, specializing in Urologic Oncology and Robotic surgery.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Banerjee started the dedicated Urologic Oncology and Robotic surgery program at Apollo Multispecialty Hospitals, Kolkata: the largest multispecialty Hospitals in Eastern India. He also worked as the Intuitive Surgical Urologic Oncology and da Vinci Robotic surgery fellowship Program Associate Director in HCG Cancer Hospitals, Bangalore, India and Trustwell Hospitals in Bangalore, India.

Dr. Banerjee graduated and completed his residency in general surgery from Medical College Kolkata, India, Asia’s oldest Medical School. He completed his residency in Urology and Renal transplant at Sawai Man Singh Medical College & Hospital in Jaipur, arguably one of the busiest Urology residency programs in Northern India. He has completed fellowships in Minimally invasive and Robotic Urology at Fortis Escorts Kidney and Urology Institute in New Delhi, India; OLV Ziekenhuis in Aalst, Belgium: one of the top Robotic Urology programs in Europe; and the University of Miami in Miami, Florida, the busiest Robotic Urologic Oncology program in Southeastern United States.

Victoria Belopolsky, MD
DuBois

Board-certified cardiac anesthesiologist Victoria Belopolsky, MD, joins the team at Penn Highlands DuBois at 100 Hospital Avenue in DuBois.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Belopolsky provides expert care for all aspects of advanced diagnostics and perioperative management of patients with coronary artery and valvular cardiac diseases, among others. She is also highly skilled in TEE (transesophageal echocardiogram) procedures.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Belopolsky practiced at UPMC Altoona in Altoona and Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.

Dr. Belopolsky graduated from Ukraine National Medical University, Kiev, Ukraine. She completed her externship at State University of New York at Buffalo, VA Hospital, in Buffalo, N.Y. She completed a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in cardiovascular anesthesiology at State University of New York at Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists.

Augusto Cuellar, MD
DuBois

Board-certified cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon Augusto Cuellar, MD, joins the team at Penn Highlands Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at 145 Hospital Avenue, Suite 300, in DuBois.

Dr. Cuellar specializes in peripheral and endovascular surgery and general thoracic surgery, including minimally invasive procedures. He has 35 years of experience and is a fellowship-trained surgeon, having achieved the highest level and training and recognition in the cardiothoracic and vascular surgery field.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Cuellar practiced in private practice, Vascular and Thoracic Texarkana and Ocala in Texarkana, Texas; South Florida Cardiovascular in Davie, Fla.; Ohio Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgeons in Lima, Ohio; and Raj Cardiovascular Association in Pittsburgh.

Dr. Cuellar graduated from Javeriana Medical School in Bogotá, Colombia. He completed residencies in internal medicine at SUNY Medical School in Brooklyn, N.Y.; general surgery at University of Illinois at Chicago in Chicago, Ill.; and general surgery at CMC Cornell University Affiliate in New York, N.Y.

He completed fellowships in general thoracic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas; endovascular surgery at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh; and thoracic-cardiovascular surgery at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, N.J., and Memorial Sloan-Kettering in New York, N.Y.

Jon M. Lampkin, MD
St. Marys

Board-certified ophthalmologist Jon M. Lampkin, MD, joins the team at Penn Highlands Eye Center in St. Marys.

Dr. Lampkin has more than two decades of experience and provides patients with comprehensive care for a wide range of diseases and conditions, including routine diagnoses such as cataract, diabetes, glaucoma, dry eyes and macular degeneration, as well as systemic diseases with ocular manifestations. He also performs surgical procedures, including cataract surgery and ophthalmic laser procedures, with an excellent record of surgical safety and post-operative visual outcomes.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Lampkin practiced at a Veterans Hospital in Virginia. He has also practiced ophthalmology previously in Pennsylvania, and in Texas, where he was a LASIK surgeon in addition to practicing comprehensive ophthalmology.

Dr. Lampkin graduated from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Eye and Ear Institute in Pittsburgh and his internal medicine internship at UPMC Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh.

Luke K. Marone, MD, FACS
Monongahela

Board-certified vascular surgeon Luke K. Marone, MD, FACS, joins the team at Penn Highlands Vascular Surgery at 1029 Country Club Road, Suite 204, in Monongahela.

Dr. Marone has nearly three decades of experience. He is a highly renowned, fellowship-trained specialist, conferring the highest level of training in his field. He has served as Chief of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Chief of Vascular Radiology Services and Co-Director of the Heart and Vascular Institute at West Virginia University. He has been named a Pittsburgh Best Doctor for three consecutive years.

Dr. Marone graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Mass. He completed his internship in general surgery, residency in general surgery and a distinguished fellowship of the society for vascular surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Mass. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery; fellow of the American College of Surgeons; and a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, International Society for Vascular Surgery and Eastern Vascular Society.
