Welcome Occupational Therapist, Laura Moore, OTD, OTR/L

Penn Highlands Healthcare is excited to announce and welcome Occupational Therapist, Laura Moore, OTD, OTR/L, to their rehabilitation location at Clearfield: School Based Services.

Dr. Moore joins The Rehabilitation Center with one year of service. Dr. Moore earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Spanish from Bucknell University. During her studies and experiences, she became passionate about helping others through Occupational Therapy.

“Growing up with a disabled parent, I became passionate about helping people with disabilities live more independent and fulfilling lives,” said Moore. “I discovered occupational therapy through my experiences working in mental health, respite care and my favorite experience – summer camps for children and adults with disabilities and complex health needs. What I love about school-based OT is that it lies at the intersection of rehab and education, and I am excited to help nurture the development of children with a variety of disabilities while supporting their meaningful participation in education.”
