Olumuyiwa Adebona, MD

Penn Highlands Elk welcomes Dr. Olumuyiwa Adebona to the Penn Highlands Family Medicine practice located in Ridgway, according to Bradley Chapman, hospital president.

Adebona is a family practice physician who provides patients with comprehensive primary healthcare including routine health maintenance, screening and preventative care.

“I am pleased to welcome Dr. Adebona to Penn Highlands Family Medicine in Ridgway,” said Chapman.  “I am confident that he will provide patients in our community with a high quality of individualized care.”

“I’m really excited to be here,” said Adebona.  “Everyone has been so nice and friendly, and I can’t wait to get fully integrated into the community.”

Adebona earned his bachelor’s degree, medical degree and completed an internship at Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria.  He earned his master’s of public health degree at Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, Mass.  He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in McKeesport.

He is board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine, and he is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

A native of Nigeria, Adebona currently resides in Kersey.  In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, swimming and traveling.
