The Community Is Invited To Attend Penn Highlands Huntingdon Open House

The community is invited to attend an Open House at Penn Highlands Huntingdon on Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 5:00-6:30 PM, to see the new Third Floor enhancements.

Penn Highlands Huntingdon recently completed $9 million in expansion and enhancement projects that include an expanded Behavioral Health Unit and the new Hahne Cancer and Outpatient Infusion Center on the Third Floor of the hospital as well as new Cardiac Cath Lab equipment and upgrades to its electronic medical record.

During the tour, visitors will see:

  • The 28-bed Behavioral Health Unit that includes 13 dual rooms that offer a calm environment for treatment, three state-of-the-art group rooms; two safe rooms for de-escalation and a new patient cafeteria. The unit also includes advanced security measures for increased patient security and new furnishings designed for patient comfort and healing.
  • The Hahne Cancer and Outpatient Infusion Center with nine oncology infusion bays for chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hematology infusion and injections such as IV iron and bone marrow biopsy; and seven infusion bays for blood transfusions, IV antibiotics, IV iron, rheumatology and multiple sclerosis infusions and pulmonology injections.

“We are excited for the community to see our renovations,” said Joe Myers, President of Penn Highlands Huntingdon. “Since becoming part of Penn Highlands Healthcare, the hospital’s care for the residents of Huntingdon County has been enhanced; and, the opening of these new services on the Third Floor improves access to quality care.”

Light refreshments will be served and giveaways provided while supplies last.
