Penn Highlands Mon Valley To Host 36th Annual Light Up Night

It’s back! After a two year-hiatus, Light-up Night will once again be celebrated at Penn Highlands Mon Valley. The free, family event, which has been a holiday tradition in the Valley for more than three decades, will be held Monday, November 21, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the hospital’s Central Plaza.

The Penn Highlands Mon Valley Carroll Township campus will be illuminated with thousands of colorful lights depicting Christmas scenes and Hanukkah symbols. Santa and Mrs. Claus are scheduled to arrive shortly after the switch is flipped to light up the spectacular holiday decorations throughout the campus. Guests are encouraged to bring cameras to capture their young ones sitting in Santa’s sleigh, visiting with the visitors from the North Pole and posing by the two-story Christmas tree.

Free parking will be offered in the hospital’s parking garage for those exiting after 7 p.m.

“Traditions are important – especially those with special significance to communities such as Light-up Night; and, I am delighted that Penn Highlands Mon Valley can once again open our campus for this celebration,” said Peter J. Adamo, the new Penn Highlands Healthcare Regional Market President - Southwestern Region and President of Penn Highlands Mon Valley. “I am looking forwarding to greeting and meeting members of our community during this event.”
