Welcome Jan W. Madison, MD

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified pulmonary care physician Jan W. Madison, MD, to its medical staff.

Dr. Madison joins the team at the Penn Highlands Lung Center at 800 Plaza Drive, Suite 160, in Belle Vernon.

Dr. Madison has nearly four decades of experience and is a knowledgeable and accomplished specialist. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in pulmonary disease and critical care, an honor that recognizes leaders in their specialty areas. She has also previously served as chief of medicine.

Common treatments and procedures include asthma, lung cancer, lung nodules, pulmonary artery hypertension, pulmonary fibrosis and sarcoidosis.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Madison practiced at Allegheny Pulmonary and Critical Care, Jefferson Hospital, in Pittsburgh; Pittsburgh Pulmonary in Pittsburgh; Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg; Western Pennsylvania Emergency Physicians in Pittsburgh; Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.; and Primedical in Atlanta, Ga.

Dr. Madison graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in Pittsburgh. She completed her internship in internal medicine and residency in internal medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. She completed her fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh.

Dr. Madison is a member of the Allegheny County Medical Society, American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, Gateway Medical Society, National Medical Society and Pennsylvania Medical Society.
