Behavioral Health

Sometimes, Our Heart is Hurting – But Not in a Physical Way.

Sometimes, we need someone to talk to that will help us make things better. What in our minds is just as important to Penn Highlands Healthcare as what happens to the body.

That’s where Behavioral Health Services can help. Penn Highlands Healthcare hospitals offer specialized care by age for those age 5 and up in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Our staff offers psychiatric evaluation, medication management, psychological assessment, and individual and family psychotherapy. Our team consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, a neuro-psychologist, physician assistants, licensed clinical social workers and licensed professional counselors at each hospital.

Inpatient Behavioral Health Treatment

When more than an appointment is needed, inpatient care is also provided at each hospital with privacy and dignity of the patient being of primary importance.

At Penn Highlands DuBois, child/adolescent and adult inpatient services are located at PH DuBois East. Care for those age 55 and older is available at the Senior Transitions Unit in Brookville, Bright Horizons at Penn Highlands Clearfield and Generations at Penn Highlands Elk.
