Spring Blossoms Welcome Public to Serenity Garden

The Serenity Garden located in the wooded area behind the Community Nurses building on the campus of Penn Highlands Elk has opened for spring. The Serenity Garden was established in 2008 as a joint venture of the Community Nurses and Penn Highlands Elk.The public is invited to visit this beautiful area of the campus and enjoy the splendor of the season.

Local artists and craftsmen have created a unique environment with sculptures carved of wood, benches, stained glass solar lighting and plants to engage the senses. The garden features a distinctive labyrinth, which allows walkers to meditate while enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

A memorial wall serves as a welcome to visitors. Plaques on the wall are inscribed with the names of those who have been honored or memorialized by donations used for the construction, maintenance, and development of the Serenity Garden. The Serenity Garden is open to the public throughout the spring, summer and fall seasons.
