Welcome, Laura Sasala, PA-C

Penn Highlands DuBois welcomes Laura Sasala, PA-C to their medical staff, according to Dr. Ghassan Bejjani, chief of neurosurgery at Penn Highlands Neurosurgery.

Sasala will work alongside Bejjani at the newly-established Penn Highlands Neurosurgery practice, located in suite 106 of the Medical Arts Building at 145 Hospital Ave., DuBois; in suite 102 of the Cricklewood Medical Arts Building at 1008 South Fifth Ave., Clarion; in suite 100 of the Parkway Medical Center at 233 Easterly Parkway, State College; and in suite 2000 of the Rugh Street Complex at 542 Rugh St., Greensburg.

“I have been a neurosurgical physician assistant for eight years,” Sasala said. “I am excited to bring my knowledge and expertise to DuBois.”

Sasala comes to Penn Highlands from UPMC-Greater Pittsburgh Neurosurgical Associates in Pittsburgh, where she worked alongside Bejjani as a physician assistant before being promoted to physician assistant supervisor. She also gained experience working at Three Rivers Orthopedics in Pittsburgh, where she served as the senior physician assistant.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in health science and her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh.

A native of Greensburg, Sasala resides there with her husband and two pre-school-aged children.
