J.C. Blair Names Executive Vice President

J.C. Blair Health System, Inc. in Huntingdon is pleased to welcome Joseph Myers to its leadership team as the health system’s new executive vice president. “Joe brings a nice mix of skills and knowledge to this position, both fiscal and operational, and he understands healthcare,” said J.C. Blair President and CEO Adam Dimm in making the announcement. Myers started his new position December 18.

Before joining J.C. Blair, Myers worked for UOC Surgical Services and Advanced Center for Surgery in State College and Altoona for the past 13 years. He served in various leadership positions, most recently as vice president for ambulatory surgical services, and previously as chief financial officer and financial services manager. Prior to his work at UOC, he worked for the former Bon Secours Holy Family Hospital in Altoona. He is a graduate of Penn State University’s health policy and administration program and holds a master’s degree in business administration from the American Intercontinental University.

In his new position, Myers will initially be responsible for financial operations, looking for and facilitating opportunities for operations and fiscal teams to work together to advance the hospital and its revenue cycle.

“I am attracted to the value J.C. Blair brings to this community,” said Myers. “Patients want to receive their care here. They don’t want to travel for their healthcare.” He says he looks forward to continuing the commitment of J.C. Blair to grow the services needed in this community while advancing his career and professional development. A life-long resident of Blair County, he resides in Sinking Valley with his wife and daughter.
