October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Women’s Imaging Center of J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon is hosting its sixth annual Cindy Taylor Memorial Wear Pink Luncheon on Friday, October 12, at 12:00 noon in the Ellis Hall Ballroom at Juniata College. This year’s luncheon will feature Scott Wise, M.D., Tristan Radiology Breast Imaging Specialist, presenting a program called Breast Cancer: Not your mother’s enemy. Dr. Wise will address the evolution of breast cancer and the great strides that have been made in early detection through technology advancements. “My presentation will focus upon the myriad of advancements in radiology that enable us to detect breast cancer at an earlier stage and give a better overall evaluation prior to surgery and other treatment,” said Wise.

Dr. Wise has been a practicing radiologist at Tristan Radiology Associates since 2000 and is currently the director of Tristan’s Women’s Imaging Center. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology. He is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University Hershey Medical Center where he also completed a fellowship in body imaging.
