In 2018, many of our employees came together to take control of their health through Penn Highlands Healthcare's Choose to Lose program. In the last two years, they collectively lost over 3,330 pounds and, more importantly, saw significant health improvements, specifically with conditions such as:

About This Program

Choose to Lose is a 26-week program designed to help you jumpstart a unique-to-you weight loss journey. With approximately 25 other participants and a doctor by your side, you'll have the weekly support needed to take your health to the next level.

With the program, you'll receive:

  • Comprehensive body composition analysis with fat and fat free mass
  • 24-hour medication monitoring
  • Designed-for-you medically managed nutrition program
  • Weekly 30-minute group sessions with 10-12 participants
  • Bi-weekly/monthly doctor visits to monitor progress
  • Access to medical, dietary, behavioral health, and exercise science experts
  • Exclusive access to meal replacement options

How to Qualify

To qualify for the program, you need a BMI of 25 or higher and have one of the following participating insurances:

  • Highmark
  • UPMC (excluding UPMC for You)
  • Aetna
  • Geisinger
