Wound Care Can Improve Your Quality Of Life
Wound Care
The wound care experts at Penn Highlands Healthcare are dedicated to healing patients with chronic and difficult wounds that stem from diabetes, trauma, paralysis, circulatory problems or burns.
The clinical staff thoroughly assesses each patient’s chronic wound, including any underlying causes. After each assessment, the treatment plan is individualized to meet the specific needs of that patient.
Why Choose Penn Highlands Healthcare for Your Wound Care?
Our physicians and nurses are highly skilled in the latest healing techniques and provide personalized and compassionate wound care. We know that difficult to heal wounds often are the result of other health issues, so our staff collaborates with each patient’s family physician on managing those conditions to improve healing.
Penn Highlands Healthcare also offers hyperbaric oxygen therapy, HBO therapy, at Penn Highlands DuBois East. During HBO therapy, patients relax in a pressurized chamber with air pressure three times higher than normal and breathe pure oxygen. The treatment allows your lungs to gather more oxygen, which is carried through your bloodstream throughout your body to promote healing.
