Eric Biondo-Savin, DO

Eric Biondo-Savin, DO, is a board-certified radiologist at Penn Highlands Healthcare.

Dr. Biondo-Savin has nearly two decades of experience and specializes in neuroradiology, which is focused on the diagnosis of abnormalities of the brain, spine, head and neck. In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Biondo-Savin is a published researcher, professor of radiology and frequent lecturer.

Dr. Biondo-Savin graduated from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, Ill. He completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, Michigan State University, Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University, in Commerce, Mich. He completed his fellowship in neuroradiology at William Beaumont Hospital, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, in Royal Oak, Mich. He is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Osteopathic College of Radiology, American Osteopathic Association, American Roentgen Ray Society and American Society of Neuroradiology.

Dr. Biondo-Savin’s research interests include the incidence of dilated perivascular spaces in young athletes evaluated for a concussion, aneurysmal bone cyst mimicking malignancy, oroantral fistula, low dose CT lung screening, type IV spinal perimedullary AV fistula with Foix-Alajouanine syndrome, middle cerebral artery attenuation ratio in confirmed strokes, dural sinus blood Hounsfield units and hemoglobin association, solitary fibrous tumor of the spine and callback rates of full-field digital mammography (FFDM) versus film-screen mammography (FSM).
