Pathology

Pathology is the science of the causes and effects of diseases. The expert pathologists at Penn Highlands Healthcare work closely with other members of the medical team to diagnose, treat and prevent diseases. They are dedicated to answering the questions that patients face about their illnesses, particularly when it comes to ruling out and determining the cause of their symptoms.

When treating patients who have been diagnosed with cancer, our pathologists work closely with our team in internal medicine, radiology, oncology and hematology to aide in accurately diagnosing and creating an appropriate and effective care plan.
