Penn Highlands Brookville features a full service rehabilitation center staffed by quality therapists who evaluate and develop individually-tailored rehabilitation programs for our patients. Our therapists provide outpatient, inpatient, swing bed and home health care services. The department is equipped to treat a large variety of conditions, including orthopedic, neurologic, arthritic and musculoskeletal issues.

Our physical therapy services include evaluation methods such as lifting dynamometers, functional capacity, orthopedic, neurological, musculoskeletal, vestibular and sports medicine evaluations. Additionally, our therapists utilize manual techniques such as joint mobilization, passive stretching, myofascial release, transverse friction massage and more. Pain management treatments and therapeutic exercise are also available to patients.

Patients are seen by appointment only on Monday and Wednesday from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Penn Highlands Clearfield

The Penn Highlands Clearfield features two fully equipped rehabilitation centers staffed by quality therapists who evaluate and develop individually tailored rehabilitation programs for our patients. The Physical Therapy program provides treatment for recovery from many illnesses and injury, such as stroke, neck and back pain, wounds, post-operative complications and other medical problems.

Treatment methods include exercise training, manual therapy, massage, traction, electrical stimulation, whirlpool, ultrasound and patient education. Physical therapy is available for patients requiring amputee rehabilitation, joint replacement therapy, neurologic rehabilitation, orthopedic and sports injuries, pediatric therapy, reduced activity tolerance programs, stroke management and vestibular rehabilitation.

Penn Highlands DuBois

Penn Highlands DuBois features several fully equipped rehabilitation centers including an inpatient Physical Therapy department staffed by quality therapists who evaluate and develop individually tailored rehabilitation programs for our patients. These centers specialize in orthopedics, sports injuries, work-related injuries, myofascial pain, neurologic conditions, arthritic conditions and others requiring physical therapy intervention.

Inpatient Specialty Program

LiteGait

A body-weight supporting training device enables patients to practice walking, weight bearing, stepping and balance in a safe, supported environment. This device is highly beneficial for patients of stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease and many others.

Aquatic Therapy

Penn Highlands DuBois provides aquatic therapy, which combines aquatic exercise and physical therapy. Aquatic therapy promotes muscle relaxation, increases strength and circulation, reduces pain and increases the ease of movement in patients.

Ergonomic Program

Our certified specialists help patients maximize productivity, long-term health and safety in the workplace by identifying risks, suggesting changes and providing resources.

Urinary Incontinence/Pelvic Pain Program

This physical therapy program is a conservative and non-invasive intervention which evaluates and treats pelvic muscle dysfunction associated with incontinence and pelvic pain.

Vertigo and Vestibular Treatment Program

This program offers evaluation and treatment of vestibular disorders. Our therapists customize and exercise program designed to decrease dizziness, increase balance and increase general activity levels.

Wellness Program

After skilled physical therapy, patients can continue on with a therapeutic exercise program at our Brockway, Curwensville or Medical Arts clinics. The first month of the independent exercise program is free, with subsequent months at $20/month.

PACE Program

The PACE circuit training program is a special plan now available at the Brockway clinic for clients and the public.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy is also offered by our licensed massage therapist.

Community Services

Form conducting health fair screenings and speaking at special events to administering work site evaluations; our physical therapists provide a variety of services to the community.

Penn Highlands Elk features a full service rehabilitation center in a state-of-the-art facility staffed by quality therapists who evaluate and develop individually tailored programs for our patients.

Our physical therapists treat disabilities of the muscular, skeletal, nervous, circulatory or respiratory systems. Programs are designed to restore functional movement, relieve pain, promote healing and recover as well as help individuals adapt to permanent disability when necessary. Additionally, we offer a variety of prevention programs to assist people of all ages in maintaining optimal physical health and fitness. These programs include aquatic therapy, lymphedema management, pain management, pediatric therapy, neurologic rehabilitation, orthopedic post-surgical rehabilitation, strengthening programs and vestibular, balance and fall management.
